PERSPECTIVELE DEZVOLTĂRII DURABILE A TURISMULUI ROMÂNESC

Carmen BOGHEAN

Abstract

The tourism sector constitutes one of the most important sources of wealth of nations regardless of their level of development. For many developing countries, in particular the least developed countries, small economies and island states, tourism is probably the only economic sector, which provides concrete and quantified growing trading opportunities, and therefore, it is for them one of the fundamental pillars of their economic development. Since, tourism plays an important role in the improvement standards of living and rising people above the poverty threshold, it has become a platform to transform the vicious circles of mistery, into virtuous circles towards productive transformation, welfare and improvement of human capital.
